Music Tuesday #288: Keep on trying
I do love a dirty guitar sound. It is a proof that perfection needs imperfection. Sometimes you also need a good blues song to express your state of mind. So, this songs comes along and, hell yeah, this is a perfect soundtrack to my office worker existence. God Knows I Tried, the album title that fits my mood. And the cover caught my attention, clearly an old-time blues guy. Then I found this song. The music is relatable, lyrics not so much. But hey, at this point in life I am happy with 50%.
From Junior Kimbrough's 1998 posthumus album some raw Mississippi hill country blues that some call hypnotic or trance-inducing. No wonder Daft Punk tapped into this for remix purposes.
