2018 brought us a new sound from sweden, named after the lynx in Swedish, I give you GAUPA today.  I  would describe this as progressive stoner rock with a sprinkle of doom, a soupçon of folk and a healthy dollop of psychedelic influences.  Don´t worry that this will be too metal, the music is surprisingly easy to get into.  This band is going to be huge and it won't take long. Time for some retro sound, not because the song dates from 2008, no this song takes cues from the 1930s.  According to the liner notes this has been written entirely by Lady Linn, a talented singer and voice coach if I am not mistaken.  Production is flawless and it's the opener for the album 'Here we go again".  It immediately sets the tone for the rest of the album which is very enjoyable up to this day. I usually stay away from pop music, there are more than enough ways to get a dose of that.  But now and then you come across an intriguing story   This song is well written, perfectly produced and catchy.  I like the juxtaposition of sugary pop melodies and dark themed lyrics.
