Music Tuesday #155: 'twas an epic Christmas

Let's make Christmas memorable again.  This song does it. There are classical instruments, there is drama. And then you feel like you listen to a missing part of the Carmina Burana.  I see the Santa as the viking he should have been.  At least he's adding some drama this year. Going for a two week food induced slumber. See you all in the new year. Carol of The Bells - Epic Version (by Samuel Kim)  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bHe_i98krmo

Music Tuesday #154: Nooooo!

And now for something completely different.  Meet Boris: raw, fast, disturbing and mind-blowingly hardcore.  I have to break the news that hardcore, albeit claimed by many music genres, is definitely a metal thing. Only check this out if you're ready for some high octane musical energy with a sounds reminiscent of the good old 80s hardcore scene.  Funny how this songs starts with a jolly light metal theme and drags you into a pit of crust punk/sludge metal before you realize it. Music Tuesday #153: Self-conscious dance-rock

Every week I hear new music brought to me by a 64 year old radio presenter who manages to point out all the amazing new music which is brewing in London these days.  It is amazing how good new bands are and how eclectic they are.   It forces me to stray from my heavy rock inspired music taste and check out other stuff.  This new band called Teenage Sequence  caught my attention during a weekly 2 hour radio show.  If music stops whatever you are doing and forces you to pay attention, then that is usually a sign of very good or extremely bad music.  I think Teenage Sequence will end up on the good side. Time will tell of course. Next week will go back to straightforward rock, I promise. Teenage Sequence - All this art https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CAB-CE074FU
