Music Tuesday #223: I'll be back after summer

Last one before the summer break.  I'll be back in September with a fresh load of music.  In the meantime, enjoy this 18 year old with a voice that is just out of this world.  This song starts very poppy, but then she turns the song into a vocal showcase bouncing off highs and lows (so low!), from sweet to rock hard gravel.    Look her up on and watch her performance on American Got Talent and you will understand.  I haven't heard anything like that since Joss Stone (check out Parallel Lines). Music Tuesday #222: Don´t fudge it

I knew this weeks' band from their one hitsong Rosie , a ballad which was a typical for the band at that time.  I almost featured this song but then I started digging into the back catalog of this band and discovered surprisingly good guitar rock. Fudge  is a song taken from the Will-o-the-wisp  album.  The song appealed to my because I saw Iggy Pop performing on television a few weeks ago and this song reminded me of that.  The singer is only a couple of years younger than Iggy Pop and, similarly, still performs on stage.  Respect. Music Tuesday #221: Mega Melody

I am always looking for new music and new bands.  So, I forget to check out new albums by artists I have already covered.  Until I came across this song which reminded me again why I loved them so much when they delivered Countdown to Extinction.  I love being able to understand the lyrics in metal songs, I like melody and punchy base.  More than enough of that in this song which could have been release in the late 80s without sounding dated. Music Tuesday #220: I like my music raw

One of my favorite indie artists, K.Flay, dropped this fantastic song a couple of weeks ago.  I have it on repeat as I write this.  K.Flay knows how to make edgy songs interwoven with musical barbwires. This song has this fantastic mix of rock song elements with a dose of Lady Gaga like hooks.  Listen to this twice and you will be stuck with this earworm.  No pun intended, this song deals with the vulnerability.  She has been dealing with Sudden Sensorineural Hearing Loss since september 2022 and this song shares her feeling vulnerable as an artist while dealing with that medical issue.
