Music Tuesday #260: Dark Folk Tale

Darkness is not a prerogative of metal or new wave music.  Folk music lends itself perfect for dark themed songs which are powerful without the need for screams and growls supported by thumping distorted bass lines and howling guitars. Proof is the debut album by ØXN called CYRM.  Irish folk that stings, with songs mainly written from the female perspective or traditionals which you now will interpret quite differently in this post "me too" era.
