Music Tuesday #251: Amber effluent of arcane arts

In these days of doom and gloom as the world dies and wars are back in fashion where do we find the perfect soundtrack?  In Belgium it seems, this new band sounds like they are a bunch of experienced musicians. This album was tracked live in the studio and you hear the tight group coming together on this nicely produced album.  I hear that their live performance is top notch too. 

I've got CD 109 out of only 200 pressed.  At the time of writing there are only 13 left.  This might well be a future stoner metal iconic album.  Become part of history and order a CD to support good music.

When everything is the same and you can't find any change in an endless monotone landscape you would be bored to death.  That is why people go to the sea or climb mountains.  When there is an end, a cravasse, a feature which is unique there you will find mankind.  We need something else to feel alive.  I will give you La Muerte this week.   Although the name sounds like they're a Latin band, they're definitely not. Do you know them?  They have been a band from Brussels since 1983.  And just like Brussels who gets its character by being squeezed between the Flemish, Walloon and European expat forces, these guys have been molded by many musical trends and influences.  As a result, think blues meets heavy-metal, with some synth thrown for good measure.  This is not for the fainthearted. Music Tuesday #218: Dead Bob says punk is alive

Dead Bob is John Wright, of NomeansNo/Hanson Brothers/Mr Wright & Mr Wrong/Show Business Giants/Compressorhead/DOA/Ford Pier/Godzballs fame.  I was so looking forward to this album.  And finally here it is.  And now I have to choose a song which should trigger you to listen to the Nomeansno back catalog, of which only a tiny portion can be found on Spotify. Youtube will be your friend for this music.
