Music Tuesday #249: China's City

I remember way back in 2000 in an office in Reading (UK) a conversation with a colleague who let me read King Rat by China Miéville.  I became a fan of one of the most interesting sci fi writers of the last 25 years. This song, taken from SabaSaba's newest album "Unknown City", is featured just because it is supposed to be inspired by one of Miéville's books called The City & The City. One of the few books I haven't read yet.  So although the music does not resonate all that much with me, I do like the sense of dread and the uncomfortable soundscape of this song.  It goes particularly well with te video images in the accompanying music video. If you are into reading then try out Miéville.  His New Weird novels are genre defining books.
