It has been over 2 years since my last venture into electronic music. This song caught my attention because of its lyrics and the juxtaposing music. In some way it reminds me of avant-garde 80s music (Anne Clarke) mixed with De Staat and produced to feature on the Deca Dance ride when it is town. This is a young artist who has something to say and we will hear more from her for sure. This song if from her first EP "Life is a vieze cirkel", a play on words which only makes sense if you are fluent in English and Dutch.

When everything is the same and you can't find any change in an endless monotone landscape you would be bored to death. That is why people go to the sea or climb mountains. When there is an end, a cravasse, a feature which is unique there you will find mankind. We need something else to feel alive. I will give you La Muerte this week. Although the name sounds like they're a Latin band, they're definitely not. Do you know them? They have been a band from Brussels since 1983. And just like Brussels who gets its character by being squeezed between the Flemish, Walloon and European expat forces, these guys have been molded by many musical trends and influences. As a result, think blues meets heavy-metal, with some synth thrown for good measure. This is not for the fainthearted. But this does cleanse the soul.
