Music Tuesday #124: Lake Lanterns
There is so much great music coming out, more than I will ever be able to listen to and that makes me sad.
What makes me happy though is finding pearls like today's Lanterns on the Lake. This Indie band calling from Newcastle makes this haunted music which doesn't have any hit potential during a first listening session. And that's alright. In itself there is nothing exceptional or new in terms of music, sound of production. But the combination of the beautiful voice of Hazel Wilde, the reverb on the guitar and the sparse drums spiced with enough space between the instruments creates a magical trip for the listener.
It took me 14 years to discover them, you're not too late to do so now too.
