Show me the books your read and the music you listen to and I will know who you are. I was the kid who related to the Boss while growing up. Music and books made me understand the world. This music showed me that we're all looking for the same things in life. Various albums by Bruce Springsteen have been meaningful to me as I progressed into adulthood. Songs I would like, but not understand, until I had life experience to relate to them.
Two examples, one which I very much could relate to in my teens and the second which took me until a decade after that to really appreciate the song. These songs are stories, we are fundamentally story telling mammal. And stories need to relate to your life and experiences to make sense. Do these make sense to you?

One full year of Music Tuesdays. I never thought I would last that long, but I am going to take a break until end of August, because it is getting hard to spend the time to come up with a good variety of songs I want to talk about.
